Lauren Tallon Proshan

Chief of Race Operations and Production, Boston Athletic Association

Lauren Tallon Proshan is a seasoned Event Director with extensive expertise in orchestrating large-scale, innovative events. With a strong focus on detail and budget management, Lauren has built a career on creating memorable experiences that meet and exceed client expectations. She currently serves as the Chief of Race Operations and Production for the Boston Athletic Association, where she leads operations for major events including the Boston Marathon and the B.A.A. distance medley races. Lauren is skilled in managing complex logistics, from vendor contracts and sustainability initiatives to site design and emergency planning. She has a proven record of success, including the creation of the Boston Marathon “Fan Fest” and a community outreach series to bring running to underserved neighborhoods. 

Her prior experience includes event production roles at Rafanelli Events and a 14-year tenure at Conventures, where she managed nearly $1 million in annual revenue, overseeing events like Sail Boston and the Boston Children’s Hospital Corporate Cup. Lauren’s collaborative approach and leadership skills make her an asset in high-pressure environments, enabling her to seamlessly coordinate with government agencies, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wheaton College and has a history of volunteer work supporting various charitable organizations, including the National MS Society, Pine Street Inn and is currently a sitting board member of the Special Olympics of Massachusetts.
