Room & Van Reservations
Rooms
The Department has several conference rooms and classroom spaces available. The most frequently requested rooms are CAS 130F, CAS 132, STO 141C, STO 453, and STO 465. Contact Administrative Coordinator Fred George (fgeorge@bu.edu) to schedule a space or to reserve the van.
Van
As of May 1, 2021, the following applies to all undergraduate and graduate students, including teaching fellows and assistants; no exceptions will be granted so please plan ahead. Even students with experience driving the van must comply. All students who request the privilege of driving the van must take the following steps:
- Submit proof of a valid driver’s license to Administrative Coordinator Fred George (fgeorge@bu.edu).
- Request online training from Fred. You’ll receive an email with a link.
- Submit proof of training completion to Fred. There are two quizzes after respective modules. Upon successful completion, you can download a pdf of your certificate, which you can email to Fred.
- Comply with university guidelines: /cfo/risk-management/automobiles/automobile-safety-guidelines/.
- Students under the age of 21 must provide written/email communication from a faculty member.
Students with a valid commercial driver’s license will not be required to have additional training but must show proof.
The Department does not offer or sanction in-person training.
