“I came to BU early through the First-Year Student Outreach Project, so my first night on campus was pretty quiet. I decided to send a message to the Kilachand Honors College group chat, and we ended up staying awake until 3 am just getting to know each other. That was the moment I knew I belonged here.

I’ve found an incredibly supportive community of friends and mentors on campus.

In fact, my faculty advisor recommended looking into the dual degree program, which allowed me to pursue my interests in both international relations and science. I’ve even had the opportunity to push myself out of my comfort zone by taking classes like art history. And I’m already getting real-world experience through my internships at the US Department of Justice and the National Emerging Infectious Disease Laboratories (NEIDL). I’m still learning the ropes, but it’s already super interesting.”
