Are you a tech-savvy student with a strong interest in coding and a curiosity about addressing the challenges of Fake News? If you’re driven by learning and the desire to contribute to meaningful research, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Become a key player in Boston University’s research project on Fake News, where we’re harnessing technology to understand misinformation better. This unique opportunity allows you to contribute to the development of an interactive simulation/game aimed at unraveling behaviors related to Fake News and exploring potential new market design solutions.

Position: Research Project Developer

Required Technical Skills:
● Experience with cloud platforms and web development like HTML/CSS (Bootstrap 5)
● Proficiency in Javascript, specifically React.js
● Strong understanding of command line scripting and debugging
● Familiarity with standard software engineering practices including object-oriented programming, and CI/CD
● Knowledge of containerization tech like Docker
● Game development is a plus

Required Interpersonal Skills:
● Desire to continue professional growth through research training and education.
● Interpersonal skills such as teamwork, experience delegating, and good communication.
