2024 Transgender Day of Remembrance Memorial and Flag Installation
BU held a remembrance memorial and flag installation on the 25th anniversary of International Transgender Day of Remembrance November 20. Flags were placed on the College of Communication lawn commemorating those who died in the past year from anti-transgender violence. The display will be up through Friday, November 22, and BU community members can stop by to honor the lives of those lost over the past year. The ceremony was hosted by BU’s Arts Initiative, Diversity & Inclusion, Dean of Students, LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff, LGBTQIA+ Faculty & Staff Community Network, and Trans Listening Circle. A Transgender Day of Remembrance and Flag Installation was held on the Medical Campus November 21 as well. Photo by Jackie Ricciardi
