Newbury Center Grand Opening
The Newbury Center, BU’s support hub for first-generation students—undergrad, grad, and nontraditional—opened last semester, and on September 3 a grand opening and open house was held for the BU community. Maria Dykema Erb, center director (at podium), welcomed guests on Marsh Plaza, and Jean Morrison, University provost, and Crystal Williams, VP and associate provost for community and inclusion, were among the speakers. During the daylong open house, visitors could tour the center, enjoying food and giveaways. Photo by Cydney Scott
