How to Request Authorizing Access for IS&T Systems

How to Request Access

Regardless of the system you are requesting access for, conceptually, the request process flow should be the same:

A chart illustrating the Request for Approval of the Implementation process for IS&T Systems.

“Who” column has three options: DSA for requests, Data Trustees or Service Owner for approval, Data Custodian for implementation. “How” column has three options: ServiceNow ticket or System Specific Tool for requests and approval, System Specific for implementation.

*More information on DSA’s and Data Trustees can be found in the Definitions & FAQ page, as well as the Data Management Guide

While there is no single system or process used for requesting access or authorizations to any/all of IS&T’s services, the above process of the DSA request and the Data Trustee approval should still be followed.  While some services (such as SAP and Mainframe) have their own individual authorization request tools, access to other systems and applications without their own specific request tools can be done simply by having a DSA submit a ServiceNow Request.
