The BU Network

Wireless

Secure, encrypted wireless access is widely available across campus. Simply log in to the eduroam network with your BU login name and Kerberos password.

Wired

When wireless access is not available, or when you wish to use a device that does not support the eduroam standard, you can access the wired network, a high-speed, Ethernet connection.

 

Office 365 Outlook/Exchange Email

All BU faculty and staff are provisioned with an Office 365 account, which offers comprehensive email and calendaring services, plus integration with your contacts and Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft Teams

IS&T offers a rich set of real-time collaboration services, including web conferencing and online meetings, through BU’s implementation of Microsoft Teams.

Remote Access to BU Resources

Most networked resources will function just as they do when you are on campus. However, as determined by license agreements and other requirements, some resources will look at your network (IP) address to determine whether or not you are on campus, and require a different level of authentication if you are not.
