IS&T Welcomes Chris Sedore to Boston University

On August 1, Chris Sedore assumes the role of Vice President of Information Services & Technology and Chief Information Officer at Boston University. He will oversee a staff of over 400, shaping BU’s digital operations and guiding teams across both the Charles River and Medical Campuses.
Chris joins us from Tufts University, where he managed a $60 million IT organization with a staff of 280, covering areas such as administrative and clinical systems, educational technology, and information security. His previous roles include Vice President and CIO at the University of Texas at Austin and President and CEO of the New York State Education and Research Network.
With over 20 years at Syracuse University, including roles as Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, Chris brings extensive experience in strategic leadership and operational excellence.
