Resolved: myBU portal was having issues

Description of Impact

Students were unable to access the myBU portal. This seems to have affected students who were attempting to create and then log into their accounts for the first time.

Incident Description and Resolution

IS&T teams have resolved the incident by reverting a change made on Jan 24th.

Additional Information

The cause of this incident was determined to be a settings change made to the LDAP configuration on two production weblogin servers. It was uncovered today because there was heavy traffic on the servers after Admissions sent out a reminder to create an account to 18,000 students at 11:30am. Description of Impact: When applicants are trying to create their accounts, the process is timing out or failing.

Current Status; IS&T teams have discovered that there seems to be a 5-10 min delay on creating accounts at this point. Please try logging into your myBU account at least 10 minutes after creating in.
