Description of Impact
Certificate issues were impacting some services like VPN, https:// on BU.edu websites, and BU 802.1x for certain on-campus wireless devices.
Incident Description and Resolution
IS&T teams have resolved the incident. Replacement root and intermediate certificates are now in place and have resolved the certificate issues across sites and services.
Additional Information
The cause of this incident was determined to be an expired intermediate certificate. Clients who continue to experience issues are encouraged to clear their browser cache using the instructions provided here.

Description of Impact
Certificate issues are currently impacting some services like VPN, https:// on BU.edu websites, and BU 802.1x for certain on-campus wireless devices.
Current Status
Certificate issues for both access to BU 802.1x wireless, and BU VPN are now resolved. Certificates for most BU.edu websites are now updated and should display as secure. There is continued work on finalizing the updated configuration.

Current Status
Certificate issues for both access to BU 802.1x wireless, and BU VPN are now resolved. Certificates for BU.edu websites are continuing to be updated, and as a result, clients may still experience certificate warnings when visiting these sites.
