OnBase will be unavailable from 7/22 at 5:30 p.m. until 7/25 at 8:00 a.m.

IS&T is in the process of conducting a routine upgrade of the OnBase software from version 15 to version 16.  This message is to remind you of the OnBase outage scheduled for this weekend.

  • Friday, July 22nd, 5:30 pm – Sunday July 24th: OnBase unavailable while the database is upgraded.
  • Monday  July 25th, 8:00 am – OnBase will be available again.

Please share this with anyone else in your organization that may need the information.

We will send a message confirming that the database upgrade was completed and that OnBase is available again. If there are any issues that will prevent OnBase from being available on Monday morning, we will notify you.

Additionally, there will be an outage next weekend as well as we upgrade the OnBase software on the servers.

  • Friday July 29th, 5:30 pm: OnBase will be unavailable over this weekend until the upgrade is completed.
  • Monday August 1st, 9:00 am – OnBase should be available again. Please be aware the first few days after the upgrade could be a little bumpy.
    • There is some risk that issues could linger into Monday so please watch for an announcement that OnBase is available and have testers verify that things are working as usual.
    • Web Client links will not change and should be useful immediately without any desktop installation required.
    • Additional client installs not accomplished over the weekend will continue on Monday. Thick (scanning station), Unity, and Outlook clients must be upgraded before they can be used with the new version of OnBase.
    • Scanning and indexing at scanning stations will not be available until the upgraded software is installed at each station. This will get done as quickly as possible.

It is important that you share this information with anyone in your business area that may need to know about it.  We will not be contacting individual OnBase users.  Additional reminders and communications will follow as we approach key dates.

If you have question or concerns please contact Lillith Avalon at lavalon@bu.edu.
