Diane Casey Crowley joined Boston University School of Social Work in 2013 as the Online Program Field Education & Advising Coordinator and served as the director of the Fall River Campus from 2018 to 2024.

In her current role as Macro Practice Field Education Coordinator, she develops and places students in field placements, hires and trains advisors, and teaches online seminars for students and new field instructors.

Crowley received her BA from Saint Anselm College and her MSW from Boston College. She has extensive experience advising and supporting social work students, as a field instructor, and as adjunct faculty and faculty advisor at Boston College Graduate School of Social Work. A macro practitioner, Crowley has worked with government agencies, nonprofit organizations and communities in the areas of substance use disorder, problem gambling and community health. She is a former executive director of a non-profit community-based urban health coalition. Most recently, Crowley was the Assistant Director of Licensing at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Bureau of Substance Abuse Services.
