Falmouth, 2/29: Author Karibe Mendy Highlights Cape Verdean Leader at BUSSW Co-Sponsored Event

This February 29 event in Falmouth features author Peter Karibe Mendy who talks about Cape Verdean political organizer and diplomat Amílcar Cabral,, one of Africa’s foremost anti-colonial leaders. Karibe Mendy, a professor of History and Africana Studies at Rhode Island College, is the author of Amílcar Cabral: A Nationalist and Pan-Africanist Revolutionary. He will be introduced by Massachusetts State Representative David Vieira. BU School of Social Work’s Cape Cod Campus has partnered with the Falmouth Affirmative Action Committee and the Cape Cod Cape Verdean Museum and Cultural Center to sponsor the talk.
