科德角,5/8——“青少年长期吸食大麻:有什么大不了的?”’ with Rick Cresta

Boston University School of Social Work’s Cape Cod Campus, in partnership with the Falmouth Commission on Substance Use and Gosnold, Inc., is hosting the workshop “Chronic Marijuana Use in Teens: What’s the Big Deal?” The workshop, which is designed for parents and social service professionals alike, will teach participants how to engage youth in an exploration of their marijuana use without prompting defensiveness. It will also explore impacts of chronic marijuana use in a variety of functional areas – including physical, behavioral, psychological and emotional – and discuss the impact of recent changes to the law on attitudes and behavior.

The workshop is led by BUSSW faculty member Rick Cresta, LICSW, who operates a private practice working with court-involved youth and is a trainer and consultant for the Department of Children and Families (DCF), Department of Youth Services (DYS), and Department of Public Health (DPH).

“Chronic Marijuana Use in Teens” is free of charge and open to the public. 3.5 CE credit hours for social workers and LMHCs are pending. Please RSVP.
