There are several virtual and in-person events to meet the Activist Lab staff and discuss ways to get involved with advocacy, activism, and social justice as part of public health practice.

Ask the Activist Lab

For students who may be asking “how do I get involved with the Activist Lab?” we have a suggestion for you. Start by thinking about which public health issues or areas ignite your passion – if you have a desire to advocate, for what? And how is it that you would like to impact those areas? As I’m sure you’ve discovered by now, public health (and even public health advocacy) is an expansive field. Spending some time reflecting on your strengths, passions, interests, etc. will help you engage the Activist Lab by shifting your question from “how do I get involved” to “can you help me get involved in X because I’d like to do Y.”

Location: Talbot 118 West

Activist Lab Open House

Each semester, the Activist Lab hosts a reception where new and returning students, faculty, and staff are invited to meet our staff! We’ll tell you all about our plans for the upcoming semester and discuss ways you can get involved with advocacy, activism, and social justice as part of your public health practice. Keep an eye on the BUSPH Calendar for upcoming events.
