Devin Hahn

Senior Video Producer at BU Today, Bostonia, and The Brink

Devin Hahn creates video content for BU TodayBostonia online, and the Brink. He is a producer, a cameraman, an editor, and, under duress, a writer.

Born, raised, and educated in California, Devin studied anthropology and documentary filmmaking at UCLA, spent a few years in Los Angeles making behind-the-scenes featurettes for ultra-low-budget feature films, and then moved to Boston.

In his work as a BU video producer, Devin has traveled to twelve countries on six continents. He has reported on subjects as diverse as health economics in Johannesburg, Naval flight training in Texas, biodiversity in the Galapagos Islands, the growth of the middle class in China, and the search for ancient glaciers in Antarctica. He has worked with many prominent members of the BU community, including former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky, New York Times reporter David Carr, Brooklyn Brewery brewmaster Garrett Oliver, the musicians of the world-renowned Muir Quartet, and Mayor Thomas M. Menino.

Devin recently completed an MFA in creative writing at Boston University, which has made it all the more difficult for him to avoid writing assignments.
