SPH This Year Wins Two Gold Awards.
The 2018 issue of SPH This Year, the School of Public Health’s annual year-in-review magazine, took gold at the In-House Agency Forum (IHAF) Award Show on November 13. The publication also won gold at the Hatch Awards on October 24.
The publication represented a collaboration between BU Creative Services and the SPH communications team. The magazine focused on the “teach” part of SPH’s core purpose “Think. Teach. Do. For the health of all.” and highlighted new public health education at the school, including a revamped Master of Public Health curriculum.
At the annual IHAF event, SPH This Year received a Gold Award in the Annual Report: Corporate Communications category. Other awards winners in that category included Liberty Mutual Insurance, Nationwide Insurance & Financial, and Bloomberg LP.
The IHAF Awards recognize creative excellence across in-house agencies across 38 print and digital categories. Winners are determined by a panel of judges drawn from the industry. This year’s panel included 11 judges from Massachusetts Bay Brewing Company, Deloitte, Robert Half, American Express, and more.
At the Hatch Awards, SPH This Year won gold in the Annual Report category. Boston University won 24 of the 308 awards, including a second Gold Award from the College of Communication for the student campaign “The Beauty Between.”
Now in its 59th year, the Hatch Awards is New England’s annual awards for creative branding and marketing. Award categories include print, video, audio, digital, mobile, and web-based content.
The 2019 issue of SPH This Year, which highlights the school’s activism, advocacy, and engagement with communities, was recently published and will be available online soon.
