Community Members Honored with Employee Awards.
School of Public Health faculty and staff community members are being honored by Boston University for their service.
Kristian Clausen will receive the BU Graduate Outstanding Service Award at an event on April 14.
Assistant Professor of Community Health Sciences Monica Wang nominated Clausen for her work as Wang’s teaching assistant in SB800: The Obesity Epidemic, and as her research assistant in a novel intervention program to reduce children’s sugar-sweetened beverage consumption and increase media literacy. The BU Student Employment Office sponsors awards to recognize the outstanding achievements of student workers and highlight the impact students make on the campus workforce.
“It’s definitely nice to be recognized,” Clausen says. “I’ve had a great experience working with Monica, and I’ve learned so much from her.”
At a luncheon on March 31, BU also honored faculty and staff who have reached service milestones of 10 and 25 years at the University.
