DrPH Candidate Assumes Leadership Position at March of Dimes.
The March of Dimes Connecticut chapter has named Jordana Frost the state director of program services. Frost, a DrPH candidate who specializes in perinatal health inequities and perinatal health services, will lead local programs, community grants, and educational services throughout the state.
Frost, a practicing childbirth doula, brings more than 14 years of experience in related project and program leadership to her new role. Previously, as a planning committee member of the Connecticut Maternal and Child Health Coalition, she was instrumental in the development of the State Plan to Improve Birth Outcomes.
Earlier this year, Frost received a Young Maternal and Child Health Professional Award at the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP), which recognized her “for significant contributions to the health of mothers, children, and families in Connecticut and nationwide.”
“Jordana’s maternal and child health interests, experience, and applied knowledge make her a key addition to the March of Dimes Connecticut Chapter,” her predecessor, Erin Jones, said in a press release.
The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health, working to prevent birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
