Commodity Codes

Choosing the correct commodity code is essential for oversight and compliance. Many of the items we order require functional approvals, special handling procedures, and oversight from administrators. Using the correct commodity codes routes the PR to the proper functional approvers ensuring orders are processed correctly. Examples of items with functional approvals that require oversight include controlled substances, radioactive items, gift cards, lasers, and capital purchases.
