Listernick Classes Visit MFA
Joan Listernick recently took her third and fourth semester French classes on a guided tour of the MFA. Dr. Listernick tells us:
“I took students from my third and fourth semester French classes on a private guided tour of the Museum of Fine Arts, focusing on works from the Maghreb. We explored a diverse selection of artifacts, including ceramic tiles, embroidery, and even a menorah. The tour then shifted to French Orientalist paintings, allowing students to compare the distinct artistic styles of North African works with the ways in which the Maghreb was imagined in French art.”
