BU Technology Development (OTD) works with doctoral students to advance BU’s portfolio of technologies from invention disclosure to patent decision to licensing. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious doctoral scholar interested in building a valuable skillset in technology business development.

Learn from an experienced professional. Frances Forrester is a Director of Business Development in Technology Development in OTD. Frances earned her PhD in Physiology and Cellular Biophysics from Columbia University, where she worked as a PhD Fellow (and later Senior Manager) in Columbia’s tech transfer office for almost three years.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will be:

• A doctoral student with a technical background
• Interested in intellectual property or technology commercialization
• Available to work remotely up to four hours/week
• Approved by their PI to participate in this opportunity
