Sanjana Chandak, OMBA’ 24, Trains for the 129th Boston Marathon
April 17, 2025
Sanjana Chandak (Questrom OMBA’ 24) didn’t think that she would take on another challenge so quickly after completing her MBA degree. It was to her surprise that this fall, after entering the Boston Marathon lottery on a whim, she would be starting another long journey of hard work: training for the 129th Boston Marathon as a first-time long distance runner, marathon runner, and charity runner. Now, as she races toward the finish line of her rigorous training plan, she reflects on the communities that have supported her throughout this journey, as well as her sense of purpose supporting a cause close to her heart.

While her OMBA program has ended, Sanjana continues to feel the support of the Questrom community. In fact, the first donation to her Boston Marathon fundraiser was from a former classmate. Sanjana relishes in the ability to reach out to her former classmates and professors, saying “just the opportunity of conversing with them about work, I think it’s huge. It’s a huge benefit.”
