Dr. Daivi Rodima-Taylor: Advancing African Studies through Research and Leadership

Dr. Daivi Rodima-Taylor,social anthropologist and researcher at the African Studies Center of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies, Boston University, published a chapter, “Grassroots Data Activism and Polycentric Governance: Perspectives from the Margins,” in Global Digital Data Governance (ed. Aguerre et al., Routledge, 2024). Her recent co-edited volume, Cryptopolitics: Exposure, Concealment, and Digital Media (Berghahn Books, 2023), discusses the role of social media in Africa. She also co-edited the special issue “Ajami Literacies in Africa” that appeared in Islamic Africa (vols. 14/2, 2023 and 15/1, 2024; with Fallou Ngom et al.) and co-authored guest article “Exploring African Ajami in the Era of Digital Humanities” (with Fallou Ngom) in Brill Blog “Humanities Matter.”
