BLCS grad takes to the screen to encourage would-be scientists
How can you inspire a high school student to pursue a career in science? Share an inspirational story. In a brief video on the PBS Learning Media site, Sandra Bustamonte (MET’10)—who holds a bachelor’s in Biomedical Laboratory & Clinical Sciences (BLCS)—discusses her love for biotech and a few words of encouragement. The BLCS program is offered by Metropolitan College in collaboration with Boston University School of Medicine. Also appearing is Professor of Environmental Health David Sherr, who explains the impressive project (the study of nanoparticles) to which Sandra contributes at BU’s School of Public Health, and the great strides she’s making as a research assistant.
