Mailing Your Application

It is strongly recommended that you send your application by Certified Mail with a Return Receipt requested from the U.S. Post Office. Use of U.S. Express Mail or a private courier such as Federal Express, DHL or UPS is also acceptable, as long as you use a service that will give you confirmation of delivery.

You may check the status of your application once you receive a receipt notice from USCIS. If you have a problem with your application, call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 (TTY).

Your work authorization must be approved by USCIS before you can begin employment. Once approved, USCIS will send you an Employment Authorization Document (EAD). Employment is only authorized for the dates listed on the EAD. 我们建议您将您的文件复制一份作为记录，并将副本转发给ISSO，以便我们将其添加到J-1文件中。
