David Demeritt

David Demeritt, affiliated faculty with the Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability (IGS), is an elected fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in the UK. Demeritt is a geographer best known for his ability to bridge the discipline’s human-physical divide. His research focuses on environmental policy, in particular the management of flooding, wildfire and other risks to environmental health and safety.
