Canan Gunes Corlu, affiliated faculty with the Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability (IGS), is an associate professor and the faculty coordinator for the Supply Chain Management programs at Boston University Metropolitan College (MET).
Dr. Corlu’s research falls under operations management data analytics, focusing on data challenges in decision-making. Her work focuses both on theory and applications, and she is particularly interested in data analytics/machine learning and simulation-optimization applications in inventory management, illegal supply chains, transportation/logistics, warehousing and digital twins.
She is the recipient of the 2021 INFORMS (Institute for Operations Research and Management Science) Volunteer Service Award and the 2021 Winter Simulation Conference Outstanding Reviewer Award. She was recognized by INFORMS as a Senior Member in acknowledgment of her sustained commitment and contributions to the INFORMS community. Dr. Corlu is an associate editor for the Journal of Simulation and an editorial board member of the Journal of Business Analytics. She is serving on the editorial review board of the Decision Sciences journal.
