A Meeting Point for the Humanities at BU
Each academic year, the Center engages students and faculty across departments and disciplines through the curation, administration, and production of public-facing programs. The Center also provides financial and administrative support for events throughout the academic year that bring humanities perspectives to bear on a wide range of subjects that are central to contemporary society.
The Center’s forums are designed to convene series of humanities events and happenings that span disciplines, research communities, areas of the City, and colleges to address social problems as present-day cutting-edge research questions for the humanities that are of interest and importance to all. Inaugurated in 2017, the forums further the exchange of ideas between scholars in humanities fields and others who stand to benefit from addressing social problems and their prospective solutions together with humanists.
