Peter Fasolo Appointed as New Director of HRPI

We are delighted to share with you that Peter Fasolo, Ph.D., former Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Johnson & Johnson, is joining us as the new Director of the Human Resource Policy Institute (HRPI) and Professor of the Practice, Management and Organizations, at the Boston University Questrom School of Business.

Many of you know Peter from his illustrious career at Johnson & Johnson. J&J, a Fortune 500 company with more than $82 billion in global revenues and more than 135,000 employees across 60 countries, is regularly recognized as one of the best places to work and most admired companies in the world. As CHRO, Peter had responsibility for global talent, recruiting, diversity, compensation benefits, and all aspects of the human resources agenda for the company. He reported to the CEO and served as a member of the Johnson & Johnson Executive Committee.

In addition to his leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, Peter held senior human resources positions at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Peter earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Delaware, a Master of Arts degree in Industrial Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Providence College. He serves on the Board of Trustees at Tufts University and was named a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources in 2017, the highest honor in the HR profession.

Peter will take over the helm of HRPI from interim leaders Professor of the Practice Emeritus Charles Tharp and Research Associate Professor Connie Hadley, building on the three decades of leadership from Professor Emeritus Fred Foulkes. Charlie and Connie will move to the HRPI Steering Committee. In addition, Connie will take on the role of Associate Director of HRPI.

Peter has shown longstanding professional and personal commitment to HRPI. J&J has been a member company for seven years, with Peter representing the company at our conferences for the past five years, including as a guest speaker. Peter is also a member of the HRPI Steering Committee.
