J.D./M.A. | early modern European women’s history

Riley Kolsto is a J.D./M.A. dual degree student who began studying at Boston University in 2021. She graduated from Smith College with a BA in Classical Studies and History (concentration in women’s history), as well as a Museum Studies Concentration. Riley also spent a semester at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome. In the summer of 2022, she worked as a judicial intern at the Massachusetts Superior Court. Her main area of historical interest is early modern European women’s history. She is also interested in the histories of religion, disability, and education, as well as social history, domestic history, and material culture.
