Ethan Key entered the BU PhD program in 2018. Prior to that, he received a master’s degree in world history from Georgia State University. Under the guidance of Professor McCann, he plans to continue research in the field of African history, particularly in the Horn of Africa during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
