Elizabeth Grumer

Elizabeth Grumer received her BA from Bryn Mawr College and her MA from the University of Chicago. Her dissertation at BU, advised by Brooke Blower, is entitled “Midcentury Mysteries: British and American Paranormal Pursuits in the Modern Age.” The project is a transnational cultural history of popular interest in the paranormal during the  mid twentieth century. She studies both Britain and the United States, with a particular emphasis on gender, relationships, and the history of the family.
