Derek graduated from Suffolk University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. Derek then moved on and received his Masters Degree in American Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2023.
Derek’s main function as an Undergraduate Academic Advisor in the Departments of Political Science and History is to advise students on course selection, registration, navigating Boston University’s challenging academics, and fostering community on campus.
When not advising students, Derek spends his time playing hockey, skiing, attempting to golf, and heading out to concerts and cheering on the Bruins. His non-professional goals include, hitting a half court shot, learning how to tap dance, and learning how to whistle.
