BU Healthcare Providers
For purposes of the guidance provided on this website, BU Healthcare Providers are units that provide healthcare services to anyone. Healthcare services are services that can only be provided by a licensed healthcare professional.
Some BU clinical units provide services to the general public, and some only to the BU community; some bill governmental programs, and others don’t bill at all; some are covered by HIPAA; all are subject to Massachusetts privacy law.
As of 2024, BU clinical units include:

- Dental Treatment Center at 635 Albany Street
- Chelsea School Dental Center at Williams Middle School
- The Jessie and Albert Danielsen Institute
- Physical Therapy Center
DPH-Licensed Clinics (Not subject to HIPAA)

- Academic Speech, Language and Hearing Centers
- Aphasia Resource Center
- Faculty and Staff Assistance Office
- Occupational Health Center
- Research Occupational Health Program
- Student Health Services (including Behavioral Health, SARP, Athletic Training and Primary Care)
