As part of the Fall 2020 Global China Research Colloquium,Meir Alkon will present on the political economy of China’s overseas energy investments. Alkon is a Harvard Environmental Fellow at the Department of Government and the Harvard University Center for the Environment. He is also a Non-Resident Fellow at the Global China Initiative with the Global Development Policy Center and an associate in research at Harvard’s Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies. He bridges political economy and interdisciplinary approaches to public policy, analyzing the behavioral and institutional foundations of environmental and economic governance.
