Samuel Bazzi is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Boston University and Core Faculty at the Human Capital Initiative at the Global Development Policy Center. His research interests span development, labor, and political economy. He is particularly interested in understanding the barriers to labor mobility, how migration shapes culture, and how policy can mitigate the adverse effects of diversity. Another strand of research explores agglomeration spillovers and constraints to firm growth. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.
