Minors Overview

Amplify Your Opportunities. College of Engineering undergraduate students may pursue a minor in any of the ENG Departments & Divisions outside of their major. Minors complement a degree by adding an in-depth study of an additional field to the foundation of an engineering degree. Students receive exposure to supplemental engineering disciplines, faculty and research at a time when the demand for well-rounded engineering is growing.

Minors are generally comprised of five to seven 4-credit courses. Twelve credits must be unique to the minor and may not count toward the fulfillment of majors or additional minors.

Engineering undergraduate students may also pursue a minor at another School or College within Boston University.

Undergraduate students outside of the College of Engineering are welcome to pursue a minor in any one of the engineering subjects listed below, provided that they meet the necessary pre-requisites. The ENG Science minor in particular has been designed for non-ENG majors.
