B.S. in Computer Engineering: you will build strong foundations in computer hardware, software, and networks that enable a wide range of applications, from Internet of Things to cybersecurity to cloud computing. Learn More,

Our five optional undergraduate concentrations are designed to facilitate specialization in a specific area or set of topics within the broader scope of Electrical and Computer Engineering, providing a focus for potential career choices or research paths. Senior Design Capstone

As an undergraduate student in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, you will establish a strong foundation in engineering theory, develop a variety of vital technical skills, work with cutting-edge facilities and receive guidance from respected faculty members – and Senior Design is where you get to tie all of that together! Teams of ECE seniors spend their final year working with real-world clients to create and build engineering solutions to a wide variety of problems and challenges! From monitoring deep-sea lobster-fishing to inventing new accessibility devices & apps for disabled users, these projects give ECE seniors hands-on experience with every step of an engineering project, from idea generation to a working product! Research

Undergraduate ECE students have many opportunities to contribute to the wide variety of vital, cutting-edge research being conducted within our department–whether it’s a position in a faculty member’s lab, joining a team to compete in an international student challenge, or participation in a structured summer research program with the National Science Foundation. In addition to on-site research pursuits in the department’s many labs and groups, undergraduate ECE students are encouraged to pursue internships at industry-leading companies, research centers and organizations. These on-the-ground opportunities give students a chance to apply the skills and theory they learn in the classroom to practical challenges, and make valuable connections for their future careers.
