Global Days of Service
Global Days of Service is a university-wide month of community service that encourages alumni, students, residents, faculty and staff from Boston University to give back to their local, national, and international communities. This year, Global and Population Health and Alumni Relations has arranged for several ways for all of us to join forces, as individuals and/or in large and small groups, either in person or remotely to make April 2025 Global Days of Service the best yet.
How to participate
- Participate in one or more of the GSDM-sponsored events listed at the end of this message.
- Go to the BU Global Days of Service 2025 website to find an opportunity that works for you as an individual or as a group.
- Volunteer for an organization on your own or take on a solo project such as participating in walks/runs for a good cause. Students and Residents: Please remember that all new community-based outreach programs, events, and activities require approval from Global and Population Health.
- Participate in Giving Day on Wednesday, April 09, 2025.
Share your efforts on social media and don’t forget to tag GSDM with @budental or #budental!
Track your efforts
We want to be sure to capture your efforts so your work can be credited toward the grand total of volunteer efforts accomplished by the greater Boston University community AND by GSDM. This tracking allows GSDM/GPH to acknowledge the generous donations of time, expertise and resources that our community members make annually.
- If you sign up for an event at BU Global Days of Service 2025, your service will be automatically tracked for the overall BU GDS effort but not for GSDM/GPH, so please also share your efforts with Kathy Lituri at lituri@bu.edu.
- If you participate in a GPH event listed below, or in an event not listed on the GDS website, please share your efforts with Kathy Lituri at lituri@bu.edu AND report your hours to BU at Report Your GDS Efforts.
