Cancellations and Refunds

CE will grant refunds for all cancellations received in writing, email, or phone call at least 15 days prior to the course date. CE retains a $25 registration fee when a refund is issued for courses less than $249 and a fee of $50 for courses that are $250 or more.

GSDM does not conduct refunds for application fees or seat deposits for any of our programs, including International Preceptorship, Specialty Treatment Center Observation Program, Postdoctoral Preceptorship Program, or the Dental Assistant Training Program.

CE will grant a full refund if the School must cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances. The School will contact all registrants at the time of cancellation. CE is not responsible for reimbursement of a non-refundable airline ticket or other travel arrangements if a course is cancelled.

Continuing Dental Education Credits

All participants are required to sign-in at the start of the course. Continuing Dental Education credits (CEUs) are awarded based on attendance.

A Verification of Participation will be issued to each participant at the end of the course verifying attendance and the number of Continuing Education Credits earned.

Continuing education credits issued for participation in a CE activity may not apply toward license renewal in all licensing jurisdictions. It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the CE requirements of his/her licensing or regulatory agency.

Participants should retain the Verification of Participation for their records. Reprints may be obtained from Continuing Education for $10.00 each.

Disclosure of Relevant Financial Relationships

Members of the Continuing Education planning committee have no relevant financial relationships to disclose.

Recording of Classes

Please notify CE in advance if you wish to record a class to obtain approval. Partici­pants may only use recorders at the discretion of the instructor.

Photography/video

We reserve the right to photograph and/or videotape participants during our continuing education courses. By participating in or registering for a course, you agree that we may, for no compensation, (I) photograph or videotape you; and (ii) reproduce, distribute, display, use, or publish your photographs, videos, images, likeness, and voice with or without your name, by any method in any medium worldwide for any lawful purpose, including for educational and promotional purposes.

Disclaimers

All participants are required to comply with all applicable Boston University policies.

CE Continuing Education is committed to presenting the most current knowledge in dentistry. Some new theories and procedures may be deemed controversial.

Sponsorship of a course by Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine does not necessarily reflect the philosophy or endorsement of a procedure or product. We reserve the right to modify course content or faculty.

CE Continuing Education does not provide insurance for workshop courses. Participants must provide proof of liability and malpractice insurance for courses requiring patients.

CE courses are only available to registered participants. Last minute registrations will be honored if space permits. Guests may not attend courses.

Privacy Policy

Except as required by law (see below), any information that you share with us is confidential. This includes registration, address, and personal information. We use your contact information to communicate with you and notify you of Continuing Education’s upcoming courses and events. If you would like to be removed from our mailing list, please email us at gsdmce@bu.edu.

Special Needs

Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Sunshine Act

In compliance with the Physician Payment Sunshine Act, Continuing Education may release participants’ names and contact information to manufacturers who at times may provide an unrestricted educational grant, in-kind and/or technical support for our courses.

Unauthorized Registration Sites

Registration for courses managed by BUGSDM Continuing Education can only be completed through our website. Course registrations made through other sites cannot be honored. BUGSDM CE is not able to refund fees paid through unaffiliated registration sites, such as eMedEvents.com
