CITI Human Subjects Research Training
Human Subjects Research Training is done through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI). Use your BU Kerberos username and password to log in here. Additional help can be found here.
There are four modules required for students doing research. Three are under the Boston University Medical Campus/Boston Medical Center affiliation and one is under the Boston University (Charles River Campus) affiliation as outlined below.
Boston University Medical Campus/Boston Medical Center Affiliation
- Medical Campus Biomedical Researchers module
- BUMC HIPAA and Research Data Security module
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP)-Biomedical Research Focus module
Boston University (Charles River Campus) Affiliation
- BU Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) for Doctoral Candidates and Post-Docs: All Audiences module
BioRAFT Laboratory Safety
Laboratory researchers are required to submit the following online forms:
Any researchers working in a laboratory are also required to complete safety training via BU’s BioRAFT platform. Use your BU Kerberos username and password to log in here.
- On the left side menu, select “Training” and “Course Directory”
- Complete the Laboratory Safety Training module
- Complete the Biosafety Level 1 & 2 Training module
Additional training may be needed (animal, specific agents, BSL 3, chemical safety, etc.). Confer with your mentor or research PI and contact the Office of Research as needed.
