91 Bay State Road
The East Campus Redevelopment Project identified 91 Bay State Road (formerly Shelton Hall) as a new home for the Kilachand Honors College (KHC). Phase 1 was completed in August 2013 which repurposed the old Shelton Dining Hall and reconfigured the first floor for administrative and faculty spaces for the College. The renovation included a seminar room, a large common room, and consolidation of Residence Life offices and services serving all students.
Phase 2, completed in August 2023, continues the original concept by adding a new stair and elevator core on the west side of the building, redesigning the student rooms around the new core making selected rooms ADA accessible, and reconstructing the 9th floor with a new design to better serve the Honor’s College, the residents, and University community.
