Thank you to everyone who joined our 10 year anniversary celebration last week! We couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished, together, as a program the past 10 years.

“CIMS will teach you what a film is. What makes them interesting, timeless, beautiful, heartbreaking and funny… It will show you that film is the epicenter of artistic expression. Learning what films are, how to analyze them, appreciate all their aspects; from story to set design, has been the single most significant skill in my career as an Independent Filmmaker.” These words, spoken by Alum Dillon Bentlage, define the goals of the program, and how we hope to shape the next generation of filmmakers, film scholars, film appreciators.

A special thanks to each and everyone of our presenters: Violet Chen, Dillon Bentlage, and Prof. Jennifer Cazenave, and Sarah Colt.

Just like a film, this program is a group effort, and we’re so grateful to continue on the journey and the next 10 years.
