CIDA指南- CIDA推出博客!

Welcome to the very first Continuous Improvement & Data Analytics (CIDA) blog post! Our vision at CIDA is to create and sustain a culture of data-driven decision making and continuous improvement at Boston University. We also aim to foster continuous improvement culture and collaborate with peer institutions of the same mindset. In pursuit of these goals, we have created this limited series blog called “The CIDA Compass”, to share continuous improvement tools, data literacy tips, and realistic applications of process enhancement strategies so that professionals in this and adjacent fields feel encouraged use them in their everyday working environments. Essentially, we aim to empower University staff and colleagues by demystifying continuous improvement in higher education administration.

To provide more context on who we are and why we’re so passionate about continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making we’d like to share our story with you.

Established in 2020, the Boston University Continuous Improvement & Data Analytics team execute internal consulting projects with a laser focus on enhancing business processes. Continuous improvement (CI) efforts are geared towards creating efficiencies and aiding leadership in the successful execution of strategic goals with a particular focus on collaboration. Through recognized project management and change management frameworks, our team navigates projects with thoughtful precision, ensuring a seamless integration of improvements that positively impact the entire University community.

Simultaneously, the Data Analytics (DA) team plays a pivotal role in delivering valuable insights through best available data. Armed with contemporary tools and methodologies, we leverage financial and operational data to create compelling visualizations, dashboards, and employ automation, machine learning, and forecasting/modeling techniques. The result is a wealth of actionable information that empowers stakeholders across the University to make informed decisions.

We at CIDA are so excited to share knowledge and collaborate with you. Thank you for following us on our continuous improvement journey and be on the lookout for our next post!
