  1. I ran for Brown in the same era, and made many friends on other teams, as we had a lot of waiting time before and after our races, so we got to know each other, and even competed together on a New England team against Canada one year. It was a halcyon time for track, when we competed before huge crowds in the Boston Garden and Madison Square Garden (Melrose Games) in winter. When visiting Scotland one summer, I stayed with John Cherry’s family in Glasgow, and we both ran for fun in the Highland Games in Dunoon. Any idea where John is these days?

  2. What about David Hemery BU 67 who won the 400m Hurtles in a World Record time in the 1968 Olympics in Mexico city. I was there with a fellow BU Eng. 67 grad (Keith Dickson) & we met with him in the Olympic village a few days before his qualifying races.
