  1. God bless Juber and Jose, two members of the BU Community who exemplified what it means not to just be a hard worker, but a caring, compassionate human being. All who met them are lucky to have known them, and may their family members find peace and respite knowing the marks that Juber and Jose left on this world.

  2. while I did not know Jose, I did get to know Juber. He was the kindest most helpful man! I once was running a function and needed assistance from the custodians, he saw me and jumped in and did everything, even though he wasn’t yet on the clock.
Always had a smile and a quick greeting for everyone. He will be sadly missed.
I wish I had an address to let his family know how special he was to his BU family, so sorry for their loss.

  3. My sincere condolences to the families of Mr. Lopez and Mr. Ferreira. They will be missed here at BU. May their memories be a blessing to all who knew them.

  4. I am so, so sorry to read about the passing of both Mr. Ferreira and Mr. Lopez. We were so lucky, as a community, to have two such dedicated and kind custodians. I appreciate that they both continued to work under the hard restrictions from Covid and, in Mr. Ferreira’s case, with the extra burden of lung cancer and treatment-I can’t imagine the difficulty (and fear) I would have to keep working during the pandemic. I am so sorry that they are gone and so, so sorry for their families.
