There are 3 comments on Alum Ryan Lotz Celebrates His Love of Tiki Culture at Boston’s Shore Leave Cocktail Bar

  1. Tiki culture in Boston… threads of memory for me. Lived in Chinatown as a kid, then to BU and on to University of Hawaii and traveled the Pacific. Wicked! Will visit when I am next in Boston.

  2. Do y’all realize how “Shore leave” and “tiki culture” celebrates colonialism and US imperialism post-WWII. It’s dehumanizing to the millions of Polynesian, Hawaiian, Samoan and other Pacific Islander peoples and it’s not something that should be celebrated.
