About
Samantha Kelley joined the Anthropology Department in February 2023 as the Department Laboratory Coordinator. She holds a BA in Archaeology and Biological Anthropology and an MS in Forensic Anthropology from Boston University. In addition to her role as Laboratory Coordinator, Samantha serves as the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) Collections Manager on campus and is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology’s Forensic Anthropology Program. She also currently serves as the Interim Department Administrator, further supporting the department’s operations and initiatives.
Before joining the department, Samantha was the Manager of the Zooarchaeology Laboratory at BU from 2019 to 2023 and worked as a Research Analyst for the Smithsonian Institution. Her expertise spans forensic anthropology, bioarchaeology, and museum collections management, bringing valuable experience to her roles in both research and education.
